During these difficult days of lockdown and the dawning realisation that it will probably be much longer than we may have thought before we are free from concerns about the Corona Virus, it is very reasuring to receive unexpected signs that we really are being cared for by heavenly helpers, as well as physical carers, friends and family!
There are many ways in which those who love us in heaven can offer us signs that they are close and that 'all is indeed well'. I am sure, like me, you are delighted when a little white feather appears seemingly from nowhere - no birds in sight, and even through closed windows. Then there is the magic of the sudden appearance of a robin in our gardens, or the blackbrid singing his cheerful song, and the owl sitting in the tree across the field, looking intently from his wise old eyes.
I have noticed that birds are often used as heavenly message-bearers, but we need to be alert to receive their message, and not allow the everyday mind to create a fog of doubt and thus thicken the veil between the two worlds. White Eagle often reminds us that we all have the opportunity to draw aside this veil, especially now in the Aquarian age when the impetus towards the brotherhood of all life on earth and in heaven is growing stronger year by year. It is not by chance, of course, that he has chosen the name of a bird for his work with us, a name which means 'spiritual teacher'!
So, next time you think you have been given a sign of hope, a feather appearing unexpectedly, a bird singing in your garden, or the kindly word of a stranger - trust your intuitive response, and allow your heart to sing too!
Just after writing this I was guided to read White Eagle`s own words on the Gentle Brother page of this current August issue of our magazine Stella Polaris.
He says: 'You do not know how far you are guided and guarded in all you do. You are never alone. You may have noticed that in an emergency help comes somehow. You do not know how it comes, but it comes. There are faithful, silent watchers in spirit.'
